When you use BookMyCourt, we collect the following information:

• Account Information: Name, email address, and phone number provided during registration or sign-in.
• Booking Data: Court booking history, booking preferences, scheduled games, and cancellation records.
• Location Data (Optional): Approximate location to show sports courts near you. This is only collected when you explicitly grant location permission and can be revoked at any time.
• Payment Data: Transaction records for court bookings. We do not store credit card or bank details directly — payments are processed through third-party payment providers.
• Reviews & Ratings: Reviews and ratings you leave for courts and facilities.
• Authentication Tokens: Securely stored tokens for maintaining your session.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Authenticate you and maintain your secure session
• Display available sports courts and their real-time availability
• Process your court bookings and send booking confirmations
• Show courts and facilities near your location (when location permission is granted)
• Send push notifications for booking reminders, cancellations, and updates
• Display your booking history and favorite courts
• Process payments through our payment partners
• Improve search results and court recommendations

3. Data Storage and Security

• Authentication tokens are stored using your device's encrypted secure storage (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain).
• All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS encryption).
• Your password is never stored in plain text on the device or server.
• Payment information is handled by PCI-DSS compliant payment processors and is never stored on our servers.
• Our servers are hosted on secure cloud infrastructure with enterprise-grade security controls.

4. Data Sharing

Your data may be shared only in the following circumstances:

• With Court/Facility Owners: When you make a booking, your name and contact information are shared with the facility owner to confirm and manage your reservation.
• Service Infrastructure: We use Firebase (Google) for push notifications and crash reporting, and cloud hosting services for data storage. These providers process data under strict data protection agreements.
• Payment Processors: Payment transaction data is shared with our payment processing partners to facilitate secure payments. They operate under their own privacy policies and are PCI-DSS compliant.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or government request.

5. Permissions

BookMyCourt requests the following device permissions:

• Internet Access: Required to browse courts, make bookings, and communicate with our servers.
• Push Notifications: To receive booking confirmations, reminders before your game, and cancellation alerts.
• Secure Storage: Used to securely store authentication tokens on your device.
• Location (Optional): To show sports courts near your current location. You can use the app without granting location access by searching manually.

We do not access your camera, contacts, microphone, or phone storage.

6. Data Retention

• Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active.
• Booking and payment records are retained for a minimum of 3 years for business and legal compliance purposes.
• Reviews and ratings you submit may be retained in anonymized form even after account deletion.
• If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
• Authentication tokens stored on your device are cleared upon logout.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data stored in the app
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data (see Account Deletion)
• Withdraw consent for location access at any time through your device settings
• Disable push notifications through your device settings
• Withdraw consent by uninstalling the app and requesting account deletion

8. Children's Privacy

BookMyCourt is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 years of age. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
